居住在市中心公寓的业主Brock Worobel表示，他在温哥华市中心东侧附近的53 West Hastings大街附近生活，最近越来越感到不安。 9年前，沃洛贝尔先生在Carrall街以西的六层巴黎街区购买了公寓。这是一栋屡获殊荣的商业遗产建筑，于2008年改建为具有现代时尚内饰的公寓。它是该地区针对专业年轻买家的数个新住宅建筑之一，沃洛贝尔先生说：“直到疫情爆发，所有情况都不同了。 过去六个月来，他在大街上看到了很多陌生的面孔，包括在下面大街上做生意的毒贩。建筑物（包括入口门）遭到破坏，现已经损坏多时，需要更换。

今年全球都笼罩在疫情之下，加拿大从东海岸到西海岸也未能幸免。而在疫情中最亮眼的就可以数加拿大的房地产市场了，在疫情前，加拿大的地产市场出现了明显的低点，但随着市场状况的改善，也显示出令人鼓舞的复苏迹象。
